According to the regulation of UCAS, we now started thesis proposal. The international students in the following list need to complete thesis proposal this time:

October 19, 2022 — December 25, 2022 

Assessment Requirements: 

1.     Report on research progress: 

Students search and read more than 20 literatures about your own research area. Then summarize the research progress in this area and write a report (English or Chinese, more than 3000 words, Attachment 1). After the supervisor’s review, submit it. 

2.     Graduate Dissertation Proposal  

Write your Graduate Dissertation Proposal on the background and significance of the topic, latest development and trends in this discipline at home and abroad, main content and expected outcomes of the research, approach, research methods, work plan including time table and so on. After the supervisor’s review and approval, the thesis proposal report can be organized. 

3.     Assessment process and requirements: 

The thesis proposal report should be organized by laboratory and carried out in the form of assessment report meeting, which contains more than three professors, including the supervisor (The student should follow the supervisor’s and laboratory’s arrangement). The assessment group write comments and results on the Graduate Dissertation Proposal Registration Form. For the students who fail the assessment, they will be allowed to make another proposal report half a year later. Those who still fail the second assessment will be expelled. If the research area is greatly changed, the assessment should be go over again.
