The application for permit extension of summer batch 2026 should be submitted during 4th May 2026 to 20th May 2026. If the current residence permit will expire before 30th November, 2026., please fill and submit Application Form for Study Duration/Residence Permit Extension/Alteration (Attachment 1) approved by your supervisor to Room 325, Building 5 before 8th May. Then prepare the following materials:
A. Photocopy of passport identification page.
B. Photocopy of current residence permit page.
C. Photocopy of the latest Chinese entry stamp in your passport.
D. Photocopy or digital screenshot of Accommodation Registration Form issued by local police station.
Please notice that:
1. Make sure the passport number on Accommodation Registration Form is same with your Passport.
2. Make sure that the visa type on Accommodation Registration Form is "居留许可".
3. Make sure the validity of visa on the Accommodation Registration Form is same with your current resident permit.
4. Make sure the date of departure is later than the current date.
E. Digital passport-style half-length bareheaded photo (full face).
• Size: ≤ 200 KB • Format: JPG / JPEG / PNG • File name: passport number
F. For self-supporting student, please attach the Tuition payment receipt, Notarized affidavit of support and Bank statement of the financial guarantor.
G. For Students in the following categories must provide a copy of Financial Support Certificate, as well as a Proof of Ping An Insurance purchase (coverage start date: August 18, 2026):
1. CAS-TWAS/ANSO Fellows who have completed the 4th year of sponsorship
2. UCAS Scholarship recipients who have exhausted the final year of sponsorship
3. CSC Scholarship recipients who have exhausted the final year of sponsorship
4. B&R Scholarship recipients who have exhausted the final year of sponsorship
5. Self-funded students and students supported by other funding sources (e.g., Thailand Government Scholarship, OWSD Scholarship)
Those students are required to renew their insurance by themselves. For tips of paying the Insurance Premium please see Attachment 2. (If failing to log in with the current passport number please try again with the previous one.) The new insurance policy must fully cover the validity period of the applied residence permit. No residence permit extension will be approved without valid insurance. For online Insurance Reimbursement, please see Attachment 3.
Please compile items A, B, C, D, F/G (if there is) into a single PDF file, named with your student ID, and submit the PDF file and separate E to duanzh@iccas.ac.cn for reviewing before 8th May.
In order to avoid any delay in processing, please carefully read and strictly follow the instructions of the Application Form for Study Duration/Residence Permit Extension/Alteration. Materials will first be reviewed by host institution and then forwarded to the International Students Office (ISO) for final verification. It usually takes 10-15 working days to proceed if all documents are complete and correct. Upon approval, ISO will issue a stamped document or send a digital JW202 form to your registered email. You may then apply to the local immigration authorities.
